Designed with aspiring theatre artists & jewellery-loving hobbyists in mind, this workshop demystifies the art of creating high-impact tiaras and crowns with wire-wrapping techniques. No soldering or casting required.

Learn to bring your concept sketch to life, embellishing your design with beads, crystals, or metal components.
Create an elaborate tiara or crown, or build a simpler piece with complementary accessories such as flexible wire-wrapped hair vines or beaded hairpins designed for theatrical quick-changes.

Your creations are yours to keep, and you’ll gain the foundational skills to confidently design & create your own headpieces and tiaras.

Learning Outcomes & Technical Skills

• Material Selection & Tools: Understand how wire gauges affect structure and appearance, select appropriate theatrical components, and learn to use tools for wire-wrapped jewellery making.
• Design & Structure: Learn simple techniques for creating dramatic impact, while considering durability, comfort, and wearability.
• Assembly: Practise secure wire-wrapping techniques to attach beads, crystals & metal accents for your desired dramatic effect.
• Finishing: Practise trimming, and sealing raw wire ends for comfort and safety.
• Modular styling (time permitting): Engineer flexible, complementary hair accessories (vines, hairpins, brooches) designed to anchor quickly and securely into theatrical wigs or natural hair.
  *You may choose to focus on one statement tiara or crown, or a simpler base design with complementary modular additions.
