Michelle Jamieson
Prop & Mask Making
Michelle Jamieson has been a prop builder and scenic artist on hundreds of productions of Shakespeare, Canadian work, musicals and new plays.
Michelle has been a professional prop builder since 2004, creating props first for the Blyth Festival and for many years now at the Stratford Festival. She began her career at York University studying theatre production with an emphasis on design and new play creation. Studying mask performance has led to creating masks for many years both professionally and for her own curiosity. Her teaching career began with Off the Wall and has taken her to El Salvador, all across Ontario and to First Nations communities. Her passion for masks, props and puppets is contagious and she loves to share the joy of creation with her students.
Michelle Jamieson teaches Prop Making, Mask Making and Setting the Scene for Off the Wall.
