
Danielle Poirier
Art Direction
Danielle has been working in theatrical production for 15+ years for a variety of venues, including the Shaw Festival, the Grand Theatre, Theatre Aquarius, and Canadian Stage. She holds a BFA in Technical Theatrical Production from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she focused on training her skills in scenic art, costume construction, and prop building. She currently works as a Props Builder for the Stratford Festival as well as a Scenic Artist through IATSE 828.
Danielle feels fortunate to have taught scenic art through mentorship programs such as the Studio Lab Theatre Foundation’s apprenticeship program and the Grand Theatre’s High School Project. She is excited to extend her teaching career to upholstery through Off the Wall!
