Linda Sparks

Linda Sparks is the owner of Farthingales Corset Making Supplies – a Canadian internet company that has been shipping corset making supplies around the world for over 18 years.

Linda started her career in the fashion industry and transitioned to costuming a few years later, working at the Stratford Festival Theatre in Ontario for 15 years.

It was at this world class theatre that Linda was taught how to make corsets and she has developed her own techniques built on that knowledge. She began corset making over 30 years ago, has been teaching corset making for 20 years (over 300 students)at various sewing shows such as the Creative Festival in Toronto. She has also taught regularly in Montreal and Chicago.

Linda is the author of the book “The Basics of Corset Building”, published by St. Martin’s Press.

She is currently working on a series of downloadable PDF books on the various aspects of corset making some of which are available on her website www.farthingalescorsetmakingsupplies.com.
