Glen Landry
Art Direction
Glen Charles Landry is an award-winning Production Designer and Art Director for film and TV and Set and Lighting Designer for theatre. His body of work has been seen across the world, and he has been very prolific in his almost 25 years of creating visually stunning worlds for the screen and stage.
As a set and lighting designer, Glen has created some 100 designs over the years in major Canadian venues. Some of his more memorable designs include The Swanne written and directed by Peter Hinton at the Stratford Festival, Yours Forever, Your Marie-Lou written by Michel Tremblay, directed by Diana LeBlanc at Soul Pepper, Plan B, written by Michael Healy, directed by Richard Greenblatt at the Tarragon Theatre and most of his work at Théâtre Français de Toronto where he was, for many years, the Designer in residence; and he accumulated 6 Dora Mavor Moore Awards nominations for his design work.
For film and TV, Glen Charles has worked with some elite directors and producers in the film industry. He was the art director of Oren Uziel’s first film that he wrote and directed, Shimmer Lake. He also art directed the TV series Clarice for CBS, The Horrors of Dolores Roach for Amazon Prime and Departures for Global and Peacock. His most memorable art directing gig was on a soon-to-be-out Netflix documentary directed by Martin Scorsese titled An Afternoon with SCTV documenting the careers of the famous SCTV troupe from the 80s.
Glen Charles has been nominated twice for best Production Designer at the Canadian Screen Awards for his work on The Indspire Awards.
